Obituary of James E. Scott

James E. Scott, 82, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 3:48 pm Thursday, January 26, 2023, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong are resident, he was born March 17, 1940, in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Clifford and Astrid I. Frankson Scott. James was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from March 19, 1963 to March 17, 1967. Before his retirement, he was employed by the former Chautauqua Hardware Corporation where he was a water treatment operator. In earlier years he had worked for the former Art Metal, Inc. until its closing. He was a member of the Jamestown Elks Lodge, the Jamestown Eagles Lodge and the Ingjald Lodge 65, Independent Order of the Vikings. Surviving is his brother, John (Barbara) Scott of Lockport, NY. Funeral services will be private, and visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
