Obituary of Victor E. McBride

Victor E. McBride, 81, of Celoron, NY, passed away at 2:40 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in UPMC Chautauqua. An area resident for most of his life, he was born January 2, 1942 in Venango County, PA, a son of the late Nelson R. and Lucille Buckley McBride. Vic had been employed by several area businesses including Blackstone Corporation, Andanlock Corporation and for Al Traniello at A-Tire in Jamestown. Surviving is his wife, Barbara J. Vergith McBride, a stepdaughter, Linda M. Bentley, a step grandchild, Lacinda Bentley, Brennen Bentley, Richard Bentley, Patrick Bentley all of Jamestown, a sister, Joyce (Calvin) Stevens of Sagertown, PA, a brother, William (Margaret) McBride of West Sunbury, pa, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Clarence Haney, five brothers, Dale, Ernest, Walter, Everett and Nelson McBride, Jr, and three sisters, Esther Vogan, Edna Hagg, and Margie McMurdy. As per Victor's wishes, there will be no formal service or visitation observed.
