Obituary of Iris N. Knoll

Iris N. Knoll, 73, of Chicago, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in the Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, IL. She was born July 11, 1949, in Eisenberg, Germany, a daughter of the late Werner "Fritz" and Lucie E. Bergner Knoll. She will be remembered as a loving and caring sister and aunt who loved to sing and listen to the Beatles. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed doing crafts and reading the bible. Surviving is her brother, Otto (Becky) Knoll of Celoron, NY, her sister-in-law, Vicky Knoll of Bartlett, IL, her nieces and nephews, Heidi (Jordan) Frame of Celoron, NY, Monica (Tyler) Annis of Frewsburg, NY, Sonia (Paul) Tucker of Rochester, NY, Heather (Jason) Kanzia of Bartlett, IL, Steven (Evelyn) Knoll of Tampa, FL, as well as several great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gunther W. Knoll who died in 2006. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Sunday, March 12, 2023, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Kibbe, pastor of the Rock Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Sunday in the funeral home.
