Obituary of Jodi Lynn Carr

Jodi Lynn Carr, 59, of Statesville, NC, formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2023, in Statesville, NC. Jodi was born March 18, 1963, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of Dianne Becker Manno, the late Pat Manno, and the late Lyle B. Carr. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and attended the BOCES Food Services Program. While living in North Carolina she was employed as a cook for Davidson College in Davidson, NC for several years and later for Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. Surviving is her mother, Dianne Manno of Jamestown, NY, her partner, Christine L. Dyvig, with whom she made her home, a son, Kingston Mitchell, of Statesville, NC, a sister, Julie (Galen) Flegal, a brother, Dana Manno both of Jamestown, NY, a sister, JoAnne (Dave) Puscizna of CA, her nieces, Jessica Carr, Brooke (Isaiah) Rashad, Amanda (Brian) Fegley, Erica (Tage) Hall, Keri Jo (Jesse) Zambrano, Taylore (Steve) Laska, Loegan Morrison, nephew, Jacob Carr, as well as several great nieces and great nephews. Also surviving are her two dogs, Codi and Dexter. Besides her father, Lyle Carr, she was preceded in death by a brother, Scott L. Carr, and her grandparents, Raymond and Astrid Becker and Claire and Muriel Carr and her stepfather, Pat Manno. Jodi will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, her love of animals, and for always rooting for the underdog. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday April 15, 2023, in the Lind Funeral Home, The Rev. Adam Rohler, pastor of the First Covenant Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11-1 pm Saturday, two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
