Obituary of Gregory Scott Billstone

Gregory Scott Billstone, 60, of Lakewood, New York passed away on April 9, 2023 from heart complications. Greg was born October 9, 1962 in Warren, PA and was the son of the late Raymon and Suzanne Billstone. He was a 1980 graduate of Warren Area High School and received a Bachelor's degree in English in 1984 from Wittenberg University where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Greg worked in the commercial insurance industry for many years in Atlanta, Nashville, Staten Island and Western New York. He was most recently employed by Gallagher Insurance Company where he earned the respect and admiration of his co-workers for his diligence and strong work ethic. In his youth Greg enjoyed downhill skiing, ice skating and water skiing on the Kinzua Reservoir. Greg was a kind soul and easily made friends wherever he lived. He was known for his love of animals, especially his dogs Blinky, Fluffy and Clifford, as well as their best friend Freddie the Cat. Greg loved to read, attend events at Chautauqua Institute and had a great appreciation for music and art. Greg is survived by his husband Pablo Billstone, two brothers and a sister: Jay (Billie) Billstone of Lander, PA; Robert (Kim) Billstone of Westmoreland City, PA; and Lynn (Tom) Young of Darlington, PA and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at a memorial service at 3 pm on Thursday, April 13th at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 410 N. Main St. in Jamestown, NY.
