I remember Uncle Ray spending many hours with my dad, Norman, deer hunting, caring for Grandma Ruth’s home, building/remodeling it, so that all could enjoy. My mom remembers playing cards with them and having several dinner parties! Early Manor Apartments was their first home as newly married couples and much joy and laughter was shared!
Working in the ambulance service with Uncle Ray was one of my father’s greatest memories. They had more fun boating on Chautauqua Lake and swimming at Grandma Maude’s cottage.
As a child, I always looked forward to their visits. I loved playing with my cousins, Rick and Debbie, in the apple orchards, planting the garden, riding the motorcycle, and swinging in the old tire hung from the oak tree in the front of Grandma Ruth’s yard.
Uncle Ray was a ton of fun and he lived life to the fullest! He will be sadly missed, but is reunited with all those who have gone before him. We send much love to our family as you grieve his passing.
