Obituary of Jane D. Trusso

Jane D. Trusso, 91 of 10 Hampton Lane, Jamestown, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2023, at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital. A lifelong resident of Jamestown, she was born on May 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Phillip Dioguardi and Carmela Belpasso Dioguardi. Jane was a 1949 graduate of Jamestown High School Before her retirement, Jane was employed as a Special Education para-professional for the Jamestown Public Schools, with over 25 years of service at R.R. Roger Elementary School. Jane was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church and a proud member of the Lost Neighborhood Project. Surviving are her two children Laura A. Trusso of Rochester, NY and Joseph P. (Donna) Trusso of Jamestown; daughter in law Stephanie Trusso of Jamestown and three grandchildren Joseph and Marc Trusso of Jamestown and Sloane Trusso of Columbus, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Trusso Jr. who died on June 14, 2018, and a son Phillip J. Trusso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. James Church. Entombment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at stjude.org.
