Obituary of Richard R. Blose

Richard R. Blose (Ricky), of Ashville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home. Ricky was born December 19, 1980, in Jamestown. He is the son of Sheila & Dennis Morton of Ashville and Richard & Debbie Blose of Jamestown. Ricky is survived by his parents, his sister Melissa (Jim) Chase. His three nieces that he loved dearly Meghan (Tayler) Chase, Mattie (Dakota) Chase and Morgan McLaughlin. And many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Ricky previously worked as a server and was known for his kind smile and good work ethic. Many people would say that they would always request Ricky because he did such a great job and made everyone feel welcome. Ricky loved animals, especially the family pet, Jaxson. He loved to volunteer at local soup kitchens and homeless shelters. He will be remembered for his big character, his bright smile, and his quirky humor. The funeral will be held at 5 pm Monday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to your local soup kitchen or shelter.
