Obituary of Virginia M. Ryan

Virginia M. Ryan, 72, of 648 Hunt Road, died Monday June 12, 2023, in her home. Born February 22, 1951, in Westfield, a daughter of the late Clifford and Helen Hoyt Ploss. She was employed by Heritage Park as an activity attendant and earlier had worked for Super Duper as a cashier. She was a member of the Ashville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. The family wishes to thank granddaughters Peyton Ryan, Summer Maxwell and Savannah Hazelton for all the caregiving they provided. Virginia especially loved when Peyton would spend the night. Surviving are three children: Scott (Julie) Ryan of Lakewood, Anne (Lee) Holton of Mulberry, FL and Andy (Lisa) Ryan of Jamestown; thirteen grandchildren: Kayla (Jeff) Abbey, Aaron Ryan, Summer (Justis) Maxwell, Tavian and Peyton Ryan, Zachary and Katie Digirolamo, and Jacob, Alyssa, Branden, Jasmine, William, Parker and Elijah Ryan; and ten great-grandchildren: Jocelynn, Laysea, Penelope and Bentley Abbey, Everly and Wyatt Maxwell, Natalie Merrill, Cayden Ryan, Delilah Waygood and Jayden Waite and a sister Sandy (John) Swartout of Sherman. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Ryan, whom she married July 14, 1973 and who died January 16, 2021; a granddaughter, Dakoda Ryan in 2003, grandson, Andrew Ryan, Jr. in 1998 and a brother Eugene Ploss.
