Obituary of John C. Regner Jr.

John C. Regner, Jr., 76, of 49 Lovall Avenue, died Tuesday June 13, 2023, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born August 20, 1946, in Warren, PA, a son of the late John and Eva Crowell Regner, Sr. He was a 1964 graduate of Panama Central School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from National Intelligence University. Prior to his retirement he served 27 years in the United States Air Force where he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #145 F&AM, St. Johns Lodge #11 FA&AM, Washington, DC, Boumi Shriners, Baltimore, MD, Mt. Sinai/Mecca Eastern Star, Job’s Daughters International, and Brothers by Choice. Surviving is his wife Dianne Gutknecht Regner, whom he married November 18, 1972; two daughters Kimberly Regner and Theresa Regner both of Lexington Park, MD and two sisters Margaret (Jim) Dunn of Rochester, NY, and Sara (Danny) Campbell of Panama, NY. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Philip Regner, Sr. The funeral will be held at noon Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home where military honors, a Masonic Lodge funeral service and an Eastern Star Memorial service will be led prior to the service. Friends will be received from 10-noon Saturday in the funeral home. Due to severe allergies, flowers are gratefully declined.
