Obituary of Brian W. Dickinson

Brian W. Dickinson, 30, 0f 213 Willard St., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, June 13, 2023 in his home. He was born in Jamestown on Aug. 20, 1992, the son of Michael W. and Verna J. Ebert Dickinson. A 2011 graduate of Jamestown High School, Brian had been employed for 5 years as a production worker for The Resource Center's Allied Industries. He always enjoyed his participation in events of the Special Olympics. Brian also enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his parents with whom he made his home; aunt and uncle, Debbie and Bruce Basile of Jamestown; aunts, Rayanne Ghekiere of Great Falls, MT and Linda Applebee of Delaware; and uncle, Robert Ebert of Ripley, NY. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Gene Ghekiere; aunt, Trudy Muoio; two infant sisters, April Dickinson and Virginia Dickinson; paternal grandparents, Robert and Virginia Dickinson; and maternal grandparents, Rose and Arnold Applebee. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home, led by Rev. Becky Ward. A reception will be held immediately following the service Tuesday in Darrah Hall of Christ First United Methodist Church, 663 Lakeview Ave., Jamestown. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics or to The Resource Center.
