Obituary of David A. Lundgren

David A. Lundgren, 81, of Lakewood, formerly of Las Vegas, NV, died Monday June 19, 2023, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A native of Jamestown, he was born March 8, 1942, the son of the late Oscar and Orilla Hanson Lundgren. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1960 and later from University at Buffalo with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1967-69 as a physical therapist at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Veterans Administration as a physical therapist in Las Vegas, NV. He earlier had done similar work in Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL. Dave was a fitness enthusiast and loved all sports. He was an avid golfer and fan of Duke Blue Devils Basketball. He was a member of Ingjald Lodge #65 IOV. Surviving is his sister Judy Prechtl of Ashville; nieces and nephew Cindy Kukoda, Karin Guillou, Mark (Renee) Prechtl and Kristin Clarke and many cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother in law Tom Prechtl. Per Dave's wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
