Obituary of Essie A. Burstrom
Essie Anne Burstrom, 82, of 2088 Buffalo Street Ext. passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2023 in UPMC Chautauqua after an extended illness.
Essie was born December 10th, 1940, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Essie Haskins Jeziorski
A 1958 graduate of Falconer Central School, Essie worked for many years as a secretary for Teamsters Local 264.
She will be remembered as one who loved, more than anything else, being Mom and Nana. She also had a variety of interests including crocheting, gardening, and cooking, especially during the holidays.
Surviving are five sons Paul (Phuong) of Costa Mesa, CA; Knut (Laura) Burstrom of Falconer; Christopher Burstrom of Jamestown, T. Scott Burstrom and J. Michael (Sue Wilson) Burstrom of Gastonia, NC; seven grandchildren Logan (Logan) Burstrom, Erin (Nathaniel) Stanton, Kelsey, Amanda Burstrom, Knut (Zoe Anderson) Burstrom, Payton and Alyanna Burstrom; three brothers Richard Reardon of Bemus Point, James Reardon of Kennedy and Joseph Jeziorski of Marshallville, Georgia, and a sister Sharon Neubauer of Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, whom she married on October 16th,1965, as well as seven siblings.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or a charity of one's choice.
