Obituary of Dagmar A. Zepka

Dagmar A Zepka, 71, of 22 Juliet St Jamestown, died Monday, July 17, 2023, in her residence after a brief illness. She was born Dagmar Lieslotte Annemarie Leppin on December 8, 1951, in Berlin Germany. She was a 1970 graduate of Panama Central School as well as Jamestown Business College. During the 70's and 80's she worked as a telephone switchboard operator for Jamestown Telephone Company, and worked many years for Alltel, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends Linda and Maddie as well as her family. She adored cats, owning many over the years, as well as watching her favorite TV shows with a good cup of coffee. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Daniel Zepka, whom she married March 20, 1971. A daughter, Leslie Wiesmore of Buffalo NY, a daughter, Lisa (Bruce) Kephart of Erie PA, a granddaughter, Emma Kephart, of Erie PA, 2 grandsons, Jack and Nolan Kephart of Erie PA, and a sister, Joanna Owens of Woodlawn TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ingeborg Leppin Gay, her Uncle Thure (Tommy) and Aunt Lieslotte (Lilo) Norene, who raised her as their own, her beloved Aunt Annemarie (Annie) Leppin, and by her grandson, Thomas (Tommy) Wiesmore, who died September 4th, 2019. Friends and family will be received Friday, July 21, 2023, at Lind Funeral Home from 5-8 pm, and a graveside service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11 am, section 20.
