Obituary of Dorothy M. Furlow

Dorothy M Furlow, 69, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully on Monday July 31, 2023, at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born December 17, 1953, in Sugar Grove, PA, the daughter of the late William and Laura Muntz Berube. Dorothy, a homemaker, was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bingo where she made many friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to being a devoted mother and grandmother, her niece Courtney Menshel and her three beautiful children held a special place in her heart. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters Brenda (Tobias) Whitford and Laura (Christopher) Posey, both of Jamestown; a son Richard E. (Jennie) Furlow of Livonia, NY; seven grandchildren: Tiffany (Carrington) Charnock, Jake (Makenna) Hultin, Mary Himes, Gina (Ean) Lagerstrom, William Furlow, Gabrielle Furlow, and Taylor Posey; two great grandchildren: Fletcher Lagerstrom and Scout Lagerstrom; three siblings John Haskins, Laurie Price, and Brian Berube. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard P. Furlow whom she married September 5, 1970, and who died December 26, 2018; an infant son William (Sonny) Albert Furlow in 1974; her brother Randy Muntz and her beloved dog "Moe". Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the Steamburg Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
