Obituary of Donald C. Devine
Donald C. Devine, 78, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in his home.
A Jamestown native, he was born July 24, 1945, the son of the late Donald and Carmella Fanale Newbree.
Before Donalds retirement he worked as an auto body technician for several body shops but most notably at Cusimano's Collision. He was born with a passion for fixing and rebuilding vintage cars. His 66' Cheville was his pride and joy.
Donald was a family man who cherished spending time with his family and always willing to help friends in need. He was very artistic with his ability to draw and paint. Donald loved traveling to Daytona Beach with his wife for vacation. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and learning about the civil war. Donald will be remembered as an amazing man that showed great courage in life. He will be so missed by his 3 kittens that he loved so much.
Surviving is his wife of 33 years Joyce Devine; stepdaughter Lisa (Keith) Mattoon, grandson Jacob Mattoon; sister Robin Riley; sister-in-law JoAnn Jones; four nephews David Devine, John Devine, Michael Lang, Jeffery (Alma) Bercik; Two nieces Kristine Keefe and Monica McNally; Cousin Laurie (Jim) Harvey; several great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Westly Devine; three uncles, Floyd, Lavern, and Bud Fanale.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
Special thanks to Rose, Heidi, and Maury from the hospice staff that took excellent care of him, and our family over the years.
His journey is done, he now flies in the sun, with blue skies above, he now basks in God's love.
Memorials can be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W Fairmount Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750, and Chautauqua Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd, Jamestown, NY 14701.
