Obituary of Joanne M. Butler

Joanne Mary Butler, formerly of Jamestown, NY passed into her eternal rest with her Savior Jesus on August 4, 2023, at Warren Manor. Born in Jamesville, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Palleschi. Joanne was an extremely devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was especially hardworking and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. You could often find her listening to music, reading a devotional, coloring, building jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, watching birds, or a favorite TV program. Joanne shared 45years of marriage with the love of her life, the late Henry "Mike" Butler. They enjoyed traveling to Florida for the winter months and spent time with family and friends. Hours were spent reminiscing, crocheting, or making her delicious Italian cookies and pies. In addition to her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her husband, Henry "Mike" Butler, brothers, Frank and Julius Palleschi; and sisters, Theresa Alberts and Geraldine Celi. She is survived by her 4 children Anne Marie Garvey, Lorraine (Rex) Simcox, Michael (Nicole) Butler, James (Kimberly) Butler. 9 Grandchildren Andrea Marie Barnhart, Timothy Garvey, Lillian Yi Grace Butler Simcox, Johnathan Parker Simcox, Samuel Paul Butler Simcox, Noah Blake Simcox, Cassandra Marie Butler, Christopher Butler and James Butler and 3 great-grandchildren Lindsay Barnhart, Kyle Barnhart and Tilden Garvey. Her family will always remember her beautiful smile and generous heart. Joanne had a deep abiding love for God. She leaves behind many loving memories that her family will cherish. The funeral will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
