Obituary of Ricky D. Henry

Ricky D. Henry, 69 of Frewsburg, NY passed away peacefully in his home August 9, 2023. He was born in Jamestown, NY on September 3, 1953, son of the late Harold and Audree Henry Sharp. He was a 1972 graduate of Jamestown High School. Rick worked as an auto detailer for several local dealerships. For many years he was employed at Volkswagen Audi of Jamestown and Lake County Dodge. He was well known for his meticulous work. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was always willing to help others. Rick was a loyal friend to many. Rick was an avid hunter. He really enjoyed big game and predator hunting including archery. He had also taken up taxidermy in later years. He especially loved riding his Harleys throughout the years. He was an excellent pool player. He was a football fan and loved the BILLS. He loved all his dogs through the years. He was a member of the Carroll Rod and Gun and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Surviving is his wife, Jody Root Henry. She was the love of his life and meant the world to him. They were married for 33 years, together for 43 years. Also surviving is his one beautiful daughter, Cassandra Caroline Henry (fiancé Brendon Boardman) of Panama, NY; best sister ever, Renae Henry of Jamestown, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Nancy Henry who raised him, and a brother, Keith Henry. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 pm Saturday, August 19th in the Lind Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 3rd from 2-6 pm at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Pavilion, which would have been Rick's 70th birthday.
