Obituary of Laura L. Burch

Laura L. Burch, 78, of 7556 Rt. 474, Panama, died Wednesday August 23, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 29, 1944, in Wattsburg, PA, a daughter of the late Roy and Beatrice Stokes Ellsworth. She was a 1962 graduate of Wattsburg High School. Laura was an avid reader and was the best cookie maker ever. Surviving is her husband Harold Burch, whom she married October 13, 1962; four children Kandy (William) Graves of Panama, Kevin (Cathy) Burch of Jamestown, Thomas Burch of North Carolina, and Kelly (Elton) Piper of Connecticut; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers Ralph, Ed, Jack, Wayne, and Paul and seven sisters Linda, Carol, Edna, Rita, Joyce, Ruth, and Shirley. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Following the service there will be a gathering at Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion, 26 Jackson Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701.
