Obituary of Helen C. Walther

Helen C. Walther, 68, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born in New York City on Aug. 7, 1955 the child of the late Hans and Bridget Henns Walther. Following high school, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from RIT. She was employed for many years as a tool and die maker at Weber-Knapp until her retirement. Helen enjoyed classical music, playing piano and guitar, as well as hunting and fishing with friends and family. Following retirement, she worked at the Mental Health Assoc. (MHA) teaching classes. She helped many people in the transgender community. Surviving is her spouse, Patty Walther; two sons, Thomas Walther and Christopher Walther; grandson, Milo Walther; and stepson, Bradley Carlson. A memorial service will take place at a later date to be announced. Visitation will not be observed.
