Dear Carole and Family,
We were so sorry to hear about John's passing. We enjoyed our meeting on the Celebrity Cruise ship in 2021 as the lock down started to lift. We had dinner the last night of the cruise and enjoyed Dover Sole and tales of your travels and of your family. John and Carole both graduated from U Mich about the same time as both of my parents.....mid 1950s and I graduated in the 1980 and our son graduated from Engineering in 2018. We loved Carole's colorful Pucci dresses and Johns elegant wardrobe.
After departing the ship we kept in touch by texting. I have several pics that he sent of Rivers 1st bday on skis and Carole in front of the house holding a giant stuffed lion.
John was extremely proud of his whole family and spoke highly of everyone while we cruised. I'm sure he would have been thrilled to see Michigan beat OSU for a third time a week ago and win the Big Ten Championship this past weekend. Lets hope that Harbaugh can pull off the National Championship for John!
John will definitely be missed.
