Obituary of Florence A. Minton

Florence "Flossie" Blood Minton, 81, of Jamestown passed away September 14, 2023, at Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility after a Lengthy illness. Flossie was born August 29, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Vernon and Florence Stone Blood. She graduated from Frewsburg High School in 1961 and pursued college courses via mail. She was a paralegal for many law offices in the Jamestown area and retired in 2014. Flossie was a skilled crafter, enjoyed sewing, crocheting and beadwork. She was also an avid reader. She was a member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Minton Sr. whom she married on November 17, 1984, and who died September 19, 1998, and her six sisters and two brothers. The funeral will be held on Wednesday September 20 at 11 a.m. at the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received an hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
