Obituary of Elizabeth C. Storms

Elizabeth Weilacher Storms, 89, of 33 Gifford Avenue, formerly of Spring Hill, FL, died Sunday October 1, 2023, in her home. A native of Jamestown, she was born January 31, 1934, a daughter of the late Alfonso Weilacher and Marguerite Lewis Weilacher Day. She was a 1952 graduate of Jamestown High School and later went on to graduate from Jamestown Community College. While living in Jamestown she was employed by Grants Department Store, Joint Neighborhood Project and Jamestown Public Schools as a cafeteria worker. When she moved to Florida she worked as a social worker for the state. Surviving are four daughters Valerie (Eron) Paul of Jamestown, Julie (Brian) Jones of London, Ontario, Canada, Dawn (Greg) Mullins and Kimberly (Ted) Rust of Chesapeake, VA; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and a brother William (Florence) Weilacher of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Storms, whom she married June 28, 1952, and who died April 29, 2021; a son Kevin Storms; a sister Ruth and two brothers Harold and Donald Weilacher. The funeral will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 11 am to 12:30 pm Thursday. The funeral service will be live-streamed and accessible on the funeral home's website. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
