Obituary of Kathy J. Christenson

Kathy J. Christenson, 69, of Brookdale-Lakewood, formerly of Frewsburg, passed away Sunday November 5, 2023, at Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born March 22, 1954, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Rodney and Carol Smith Edwards. Before her retirement she worked at Essex Specialty Products (formerly Jamestown Finishing), Lilly Industries and most recently At Cassadaga Valley High School in accounting until she retired in 2017. Kathy was a Member of the Frewsburg Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and golfing in earlier years and outings with her Brookdale Friends. Kathy loved spending time with her family. Surviving is her sister Jeanne (Bruce) Larson of Jamestown; two brothers Randall (Melody) Edwards of Westfield, Steven (Ginger) Edwards of Panama; her four stepchildren: Lee (Pam) Christenson, Margie (Dale) Robertson, Tina (Joe) Sardo, and Douglas Johnson; her niece Erin (Jason) Rohring of Lockport, NY, and great niece Peyton Rohring. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gene C. Christenson whom she married June 13, 1981, and who died January 15, 2022. Visitation will not be observed.
