Obituary of Donald L. Anderson

Donald L. Anderson, 83, of 5 Kinney Street, died Sunday November 12, 2023, in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. He was born June 28, 1940, in Pittsfield, PA, a son of the late Albert and Alverta Benson Anderson. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1958-61. Prior to his retirement in 2002, he was employed by Jamestown Community College for 33 years in the maintenance department/buildings and grounds. Don enjoyed fishing and building things out of wood. He was blessed with a green thumb and loved working in his flower beds. Surviving is his wife Shirley Lawson Anderson, whom he married August 24, 1963; four children Donald C. Anderson of China Grove, NC, Kathy (Dan Saucier) Anderson of Jamestown, Kelly (Roger) Uhlig of Kannapolis, NC and Dale Albert Anderson of Jamestown; six grandchildren Jordan, Stacie, Tyler, Eric, Jacob and Miranda ; three great grandchildren Daisy, Blake and Jace and siblings Robert Anderson of Frewsburg, Larry Anderson of Gerry and Judy Weller of Wisconsin. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
