Obituary of Dorothy Ludwiczak

Dorothy Ludwiczak, 92, formerly of 231 McDaniel Avenue, died Thursday November 16, 2023, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born April 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Pilat Ludwiczak. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Chautauqua Hardware as an office worker. She earlier had worked for Cresent Tool. Dorothy was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters. She always enjoyed luncheons with the ladies from Chautauqua Hardware, loved time spent with family, especially during the holidays and took great pride in the home she shared with her sisters for many, many years. Surviving are eight nieces and nephews JoAnn Bardo, Kathy Burns, Jeff Ludwiczak, Craig Ludwiczak, Mark Ludwiczak, Linda Sena, Rosemary Schweitzer and Nancy Tully; ten great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters Helen Ludwiczak, Alice Ludwiczak, and Mary Skrypek and three brothers Edward, John "Wally" and Raymond Ludwiczak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday in Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
