Obituary of Lynn C. Tackentien
Lynn C. Tackentien, 72, of 117 Hall Avenue, died Sunday, December 10, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 26, 1951, in Lackawanna, NY, a son of the late Leroy and Bernice Wooldridge Tackentien.
A 1969 graduate of Jamestown High School, he went on to receive an associate degree from Jamestown Community College, certification from Cummins Engine Skills Training Program and, in 1985, a bachelor's degree in engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Lynn was a longtime employee of Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant working as a tool maker.
Lynn was a kind and compassionate man who will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was an avid golfer, participating in the Cummins League for many years.
Surviving is his wife Patricia Becker Tackentien, whom he married November 11, 1976; three sons Josh (Heidi) Tackentien of Setauket, NY, Luke (Megan) Tackentien of Cuba, NY, and Logan (Kira) Tackentien of East Aurora, NY; grandchildren Conor, Liam, Landon, Lincoln, Lilo and Matilda; a sister Sharon Hamilton of Greenhurst and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Lynn's wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
