Obituary of Michael D. Mihalko
Michael D. Mihalko, 60, died in his country home located in Ellery Center, NY early Monday, Dec. 11, 2023.
He was born Oct. 19, 1963 at Camp LeJeune, NC, the son of the late John Taylor and Janice Swiderski Taylor Mihalko.
Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jacqueline Hallett Mihalko; his father, Anthony Mihalko; two children, Ashley Mihalko Carlson and Mike Mihalko; two stepchildren, Matthew Woodard and Jessica Woodard Steffen; his siblings: Tonya Cabisca, Larry Mihalko, Dale Mihalko, Paul Mihalko, Jan-ette Mihalko, and Lyn Cammarn; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Mihalko.
Mike was proud to be a longtime employee of Matco Tools in Lakewood where he worked on the assembly line in a variety of roles and positions. Prior to that he spent many years at Vanson Brass Co. in Sinclairville as a refinisher/sprayer.
A lover of the outdoors, Mike enjoyed hunting and playing golf. He also had a passion for music – he played the guitar and loved to sing and write songs.
A celebration of life will take place in early summer 2024.
