Obituary of Retha F. McNally

Retha F. McNally, 83, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday February 4, 2024, in her home with her family attending. She was born on September 22, 1940, in Black Rock Arkansas, the daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Mize Smith. Retha attended South Dayton Grade School, Pine Valley High School and was a graduate of Jamestown Business College. She was an active member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary serving as post president and as Chautauqua County President. She enjoyed homemaking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, James "Jim" McNally, whom she married September 21, 1963; her three children: Michael McNally, Maureen (Terry) Winne, Sean (Amy Leone) McNally; grandmother to Patrick, Timothy, Thomas and Sean McNally, Malik and Jenae Pryce, Collin, Allison and Ethan McNally, and Donald Winne; her brother Joseph (Delores Price) Smith of Dayton, NY; her niece Jennifer Jo (Jason) Berg and great nephew Aleksander Berg. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday February 8, 2024, in the Lind Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral service.
