Obituary of Maureen A. Card

Maureen A. Card, 78, of 47 S. Alleghany Avenue, died Wednesday February 7, 2024, in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. She was born March 1, 1945, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late James and Bridget O'Leary McLindon. She was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed as an office manager for several area insurance agencies including Tradition Agency and Pfeffer Agency. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Maureen was a social person who enjoyed people and spending time at social clubs such as Lakewood and Celoron Legions, VFW, Moose Lodge, War Vets and Eagles Lodge. She also enjoyed playing purse bingo and loved traveling to Ireland to visit family. Surviving are stepsons Theodore (Cathy) Card of Jamestown and Timothy (Dawn) Card of Ashville; grandchildren Ryan (Tessa) Card of Spring Creek, PA, Dr. Katelyn (Richard) Card-Allen of Frewsburg, Chelsea (Mike) Burns of Bemus Point and Chad Card of Jamestown; a sister in law Nancy McLindon of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews including Patrick (Mark) McLindon of Louisville, KY, Deborah (Randy) Ladd of Paducah, KY, James (Brooke) McLindon of Lebanon, OH, Daniel (Katie) McLindon of Erlanger, KY and William (Kim) Dill of Mansfield, OH and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore L. Card in 2014 and two brothers Daniel and James McLindon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A private committal service will follow. Friends will be received from 1-4 pm Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:30 pm Sunday.
