Obituary of Justin D. Wilcox

Justin David Wilcox, 37, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 8, 2024 at his home in Jamestown. He was born September 30, 1986 in Jamestown and was the son of Laurie Dame Frantz and Ronald Wilcox. Justin was a 2006 graduate of Southwestern Central High School and formerly employed by Suit-Kote and more recently as a driver by Hanson Cartage. Justin will be remembered for his big bright smile and infectious laugh with his huge heart of gold and willingness to help others as needed. Justin loved sharing his animated stories with friends & family, hiking, snowboarding, camping, and going on vacations with his momma bear. We will always know he will be looking down on us with his aviator sunglasses ready to encourage us to get out and enjoy life. Most of all he really loved his nieces and nephew. He will be missed by many, but now he is at peace. Survivors include his mother, Laurie (Donald) Frantz of Lakewood; father, Ronald Wilcox of Cassadaga; brother, Scott (Billie) Johnson and nieces and nephew Kylie, Khloe and Kolton of Celoron, NY; and his grandmother, Donalene Bemis of Falconer. Also surviving are aunts and uncles: Helen (Ken) Styers, Cindy (Tim) Mullard, Vickie (Dale) Gorton, Duane (Darlene) Wilcox, Kathy Gray, and Debbie (Jack) Walker; his cousins: Paige (Andrew) Johnson, Trevor (Brittany) Mullard, Charly (Justin) Fellion, Tyler (Kalene) Saulsgiver, Baylee (Chad) Buccola, Jake (Jolene) Saulsgiver, Madison (Logan) Fain, Brianna (Brad) Minor, Cody (Beth) Styers, Jennifer (Gordy) Overturf, Tracie (Josh) Higgs, Jason (Bethiny) Hale, Bobbie Jo Gibbons, Billie Jo (Chris) Lindell, Keri Harrower, and Holly Gray; Justin's loving pets, Frankie and Delilah; as well as many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Dame, and Dave and Ellie Wilcox, and his Aunt Ruth Hale. A Celebration of Life will be held March 3, 2024, a Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood.
