Obituary of Harry Kepler

Harry "Punky" L. Kepler, 65, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2024. He was born to Clyde Kepler Sr. and Veda Kepler Stubbs on December 31, 1958, in Jamestown, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde; his stepfather, William Stubbs; his brother, Ron; and his sister, Veda. Surviving is his mother and primary caregiver for 65 years, Veda Crippen Kepler Stubbs; as well as Clyde Kepler, Jr., Brenda (Ed) Merwick, and Crystal Bonafede (Ken Priest). He has many surviving nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, and nephews. He was loved by all who had the honor to meet him. His smile and positive attitude was contagious. He has been a member of the Free Methodist Church on 7th St in Jamestown for the last 20 years. He enjoyed going to Rejoicing Spirits in Busti and bowling for the Special Olympics where he won many trophies and medals. He enjoyed shopping and painting crates and birdhouses. Harry was the Easter Seals child of 1968. Harry knew his way around his computer and was a competitive solitaire player. He was the biggest Buffalo Bills fan and never missed watching a game. He also enjoyed music; especially Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Mountain Railroad Band (where Amelia Tallman would stand on the back of his wheelchair and they would dance to the wheelchair boogey). He was always happy, good-natured, and fun to be around. He will be greatly missed by many. The funeral will be held 1 pm Friday February 23, at Joy Fellowship at Free Methodist Church. Rev Dodi McIntyre and Rev Roy Fergusen will co-officiate the service. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 pm Thursday at the Lind Funeral Home and an hour before the service from 12 to 1 pm at the church. Burial will be at Cherry Creek Central Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Busti Church of God—Rejoicing Spirits, 996 Forest Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701.
