Our deepest sympathy to Blanche's family, she was a wonderful lady. My husband Dan and my parents Glenn and Mary Pratt would visit her and take her out to Davidson resturant. She would always take our prayer requests, and had a list that she would prayer for each and every day..I'm sorry this is late but just found out. Prayers to all of her family...

To the Family of Blanche Carlson,
I met Blanche during the last 6 months of my mom's life. My mother, Lucille Labart, and Blanche were roommates at Heritage. So, from November 2023 - April 19, 2024, I was blessed to visit them almost daily. Both women loved the Lord and shared His love with everyone they met. Both had served Him faithfully throughout their life. Both were prayer warriors whose work and influence was not yet complete.
At first, Blanche would offer to pray for Mom and me. Before long, I was asking Blanche to pray for us before I went home each evening. I loved Blanche. We often talked of being sisters in Christ. Sometimes, Blanche shouted praise to God. Startled, I would laugh, and she would apologize for scaring me.
I will remember the lessons of ending well that my mom and Blanche taught me: Our Savior loves us; He is trust-worthy; He is in control; He walks before us and with us; He meets all our needs; Nothing compares to Him; Eternity with Him awaits! At the end of life, Mom and Blanche were called to lay aside pride, modesty, mobility, but that did not steal their joy or diminish their prayers for others. The love and presence of their Savior and God kept them positive, loving, kind and engaged in God's service. I hope I always remember that no matter what my weaknesses and infirmities may be, I can impact lives for Christ as Blanche and Mom strived to do.
During my visits, Blanche often spoke of her family! It was apparent that she had reared a wonderful family! The fresh flowers, abundant greeting cards, hand-made quilt, organizer, etc. and phone calls and visits spoke volumes of her family's love and care for her - a testimony to Blanche and a life well-lived.
May God continue to bless each of you by His love and the sure-hope of eternity in Him.
Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.
Love, Debbie Hotchkiss

Thank you, Debbie for such a great tribute and synopsis of the time that your mom and mine spent together. Your mom was such a blessing to mine. The Lord put them together for the comfort they had together. So true that they were a true testament to how God continues to bless and use us for His Will, even in such circumstances at the end of our life. Miss seeing you and God bless your family.
Love, Marcia Bliss

The family of Lee 'Barney' Kellogg (1932-1995), and Joyce, we extend to each of you our most-sincere sympathy in the passing of your loved one. I've been here at Connect 55+ for 8 years; and I understand Blanche lived here, as well, and joined us in Bingo on a weekly basis. I am sad I had no chance to meet her. Be strong; and be well. JK
