Obituary of Donald B. Anderson

Donald B. Anderson, 91, of Bemus Point, passed away Thursday March 21, 2024, at Heritage Green Health Care Center. He was born July 9, 1932, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late A. Berger and Camilla Hansen Anderson. Donald was a 1951 graduate of Jamestown High School. Following school, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1953 where he was stationed in Alaska assigned to armaments. Before his retirement he worked at Art Metal Construction Company, Inc, Watson Manufacturing, and most notably for Dawson Metal Company, Inc. Donald enjoyed skiing and was on the national ski patrol, camping, fishing and his several trips to Alaska. He was a member of Post 1286 American Legion, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Inc, War Veterans Recreation Inc, and Ellery Center VFW Post 557. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Ann Fransen Anderson whom he married February 26, 1972, Sue Bates of Fredonia, Mary Beth Chorney of Binghamton, and Cynthia Barlow of Morrisonville, NC. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Philip G. Anderson. Following his wishes, no service or visitation will be observed.
