Marilyn was an amazing woman. Whenever I was at their home, I always felt like part of the family. Her magic with people shone in her eyes. Some of my fondest memories were when the grand kids were there so we could play and wrestle. I wish I had the words to do her justice.
I hope the family knows how deeply I love them all. I know she will live through all the people and lives she touched and there were a lot. I am honored to be one of them.
All my love,
Venice

Words cannot express how thankful I am that you were my “other” mother. From day one you welcomed me into the family with open arms. I will always cherish the memories of sitting around your kitchen table talking and laughing for hours. Your kindness, your warmth and your love will never be forgotten. Our relationship meant so much to me and I am grateful to have had you in my life.

This is a modest obituary for a woman who touched the lives of so many. She brought joy to her family, friends, and neighbors in her close-knit community with flower arrangements and home cooking. She was extremely talented but always humble. She gave freely, asked for nothing.
She taught me the importance of hard work. Some of my fondest memories are working for her, setting up stations for bridal shows, serving food from the hot dog stands in the Super Duper parking lot.
All the little things...the comic books she bought me made me love art, the country music she and my grandfather played in the car made me a songwriter. She hated snakes. A lot. She had a mischievous sense of humor sometimes and didn't mind a little gossip. I loved her laugh. She made it very clear that I'd better grow up and marry Bridget, so I did. You couldn't rough-house at Sunday dinner because you were "making Grampie nervous." I thought it would be funny to sneak up and scare her once -- I found out she could throw a punch. There were always Oreos in the cookie jar and never any limits on consumption. You could be a spoiled grandchild but it wasn't OK to be a bad kid. Even if you failed, the love was unconditional.
My children loved her. My friends loved her. I loved her. I still spoke with her every Sunday...the same conversation for 4 years straight, but that was OK.
She and my grandfather...classics. I'm glad they are together again. I hope he is well-rested, because I'm sure Gram has a to-do list.

She was a wonderful person that I am grateful to call Grandma. Her genuine personality, laugh and familiar phases will always be in my memories, and make me smile. My life will forever be better because of her love and support.

I worked with Marilyn back in the Super Duper days. I think she served as a barrier between some of us and Chucky, the manager. Nowadays most of the stuff he and his minions pulled wouldn’t fly, but things were different then.

I have known Marilyn for many years And in more recent years privileged to become a friend and extended family member. She has always been so generous and caring and kind. She loved her family and friends, and was always willing to do a kindness and good deed to those she knew. She went all out when having gatherings of family and friends with all the many wonderful dishes she always prepared.I will miss her. Kathy S.
