Obituary of Veda M. Stubbs
Veda M. Stubbs, 88, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday April 13th, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua after a battle with cancer.
She was born November 24th, 1935, in Youngsville, PA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel Haight Crippen.
Veda was a long-time member of Joy Fellowship at Free Methodist Church and Busti Church of God Rejoicing Spirits. She was of very strong faith and would always have her bible open.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed hosting family events where everyone was welcome. There wasn't anything Veda wouldn't do for the people she loved. She was the primary caregiver for her son Harry "Punky" for over 65 years, giving him the best life possible.
Surviving is her son Clyde Kepler Jr.; two daughters: Brenda (Ed) Merwick, and Crystal Bonafede (Ken Priest); 10 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Stubbs; her two sons Ronald and Harry Kepler; her daughter Veda Kepler, two granddaughters, a grandson, and a great granddaughter.
The funeral will be held on Friday April 19th, 11am at Joy Fellowship Free Methodist Church in Jamestown. Rev Dodi McIntyre will officiate the service. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the Lind Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am at the church.
Burial will be at Cherry Creek Central Cemetery.
