I am so sorry to hear this. Celeste was such a sweet person. She even stopped in the beauty shop before she left town to tell me goodbye. This breaks my heart. Hugs and prayers to her family and friends.

I worked with your mother at Belknaps. It was always great to see her every day with a smile on her face and a joke or two. She will be missed, Lyle

I met Celeste the summer before 7th grade, on the softball field (she had a wicked pitching arm!), and from then on I counted her as a friend, though we ran in different circles. She had the ability to make people feel so comfortable around her, and was very loving. I was blessed to have had lunch with a bunch of ladies and her 1 week before she moved to NY, never imagining it would be the last time I would ever see her here on earth. My heart goes out to all her kids and grandkids, Cathy, Dennis, Monica and Tim---I am so sorry for your loss, and pray often for God's mighty comfort and peace for you all. I loved Celeste, and I will miss her until the day I'm called home.

Thank you to everyone who has poured out your love and support to me and my sisters. I cant even begin to express how amazing mom was...I had put this obituary together trying to explain who she was and is. But still fell short. You see, If you are reading this, Then mom has blessed your heart in some way while she was here. Because that's who she was. She gave everyone so much of her heart, that hers was tied and wore out....But that's who she was. She loved and cared for every person she came in contact with....she truly was an angel sent here to love and care for everyone she met and show us all what true love really is. There will never be another Celeste Hummel AKA Grandma Peaches here on earth. We have all been blessed to have known her. And I have been extremely honored and blessed to be able to call her MOM. I LOVE MOM!! 4EVER AND ALWAYS. You finally got your wings that ever angel deserves!! Until we meet again and i can hold you in my arms. and get a kiss on my check!! You will 4ever and always be the beat in my heart!! I LOVE YOU MOM!!
