Obituary of Mark A. Lang
Mark A. Lang, 61, of Falconer, passed away Monday May 6, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua.
He was born July 16, 1962, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Frederick W. “Fred” Lang, Jr. and Diane Anderson Lang.
Mark was a 1980 graduate of Maple Grove High School.
Before his retirement, he worked with his father as a carpenter for Lang Construction and, later in life, worked as a carpenter for Carpenters Local 276.
He was a member of the War Veterans Recreation Inc., Ellery Rod & Gun Club, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Ira Lou Spring Post No. 149, and the Jamestown Masonic Temple.
Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, and working on his property. He was a huge car and motorcycle enthusiast, owning several muscle cars over the years; he was especially fond of his 1972 ‘Cuda he proudly owned dating back to high school. Mark would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and was always helping his friends and family.
Besides his mother Diane, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Stone Lang; his son Ryder Shaffer; sister Lindee Bastian; his nephew Korey Bastian; and sister-in-law Sharon Taylor.
The funeral will be held at 2 pm Friday May 10, 2024, at the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received an hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm.
Burial will be at Bemus Point Cemetery.
