Obituary of Carrie L. Mazzone

Carrie L. Mazzone, 80, of Falconer, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024at the Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center in Winston- Salem, NC. She was the widow Joseph P. Mazzone whom she married Sept. 9, 1967 and who died Jan. 2, 1997. Carrie was born Feb. 13, 1944 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Anthony C. and Eunice A Blood Valone, and was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. For 29 years, she was employed by the Jamestown Police Dept. as a records clerk, retiring in 2003. Carrie belonged to Our Lady of Loreto Parish in Falconer, Samuel Derby Post #556 American Legion Auxiliary in Frewsburg, and AARP. Surviving is her son, Patrick J. Mazzone of Winston-Salem, NC; daughter, Susan Mazzone; six grandchildren: David McKane, Alexander McKane, Tyler Wagner, Sydney Mazzone-Moats, Joseph Mazzone, and Shawn Richards, Jr.; and a sister, Sandra Terry of Florida. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No funeral service will be observed.
