Obituary of David M Lloyd

David M. Lloyd, 79, of Ashville, went to be with the lord Thursday May 23, 2024, in Hamot Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 24, 1944, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Marvin and Dorothy Chandler Lloyd. David was a 1964 graduate of Panama High School. Before his retirement he worked at Fardink Black Topping and most recently for the Town of North Harmony where he retired as the Highway Superintendent. David was a member of the Clymer Hill Church. He was also a member of the Llama Club where he served as a charter member and the commissioner for the Ashville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed his family always supporting his grandchildren at all their sporting events. David loved to travel, some of his fondest memories were to California, Yellowstone National Park, and several trips down to Florida to visit his daughter Lisa. Surviving is his wife of 45 years Nancy Damcott Lloyd, whom he married April 13, 1979; his five children: Lisa (Tony) Lloyd Gizzi of Loxahatchee, FL, Scott Cole of Ashville, Jill Lloyd Chase of Panama, Steve Lloyd (Alicia) of Panama, and Stacey (Tom) Fardink of Ashville; nine grandchildren: Monica, Samantha, Amber, Ashley, Taylor, Jacob, Alyssa, Brittany and Katelyn; six great grandchildren with one on the way; his sister Nancy E. Lloyd and several cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson Tommy Pratton, daughter-in-law Dru Cole and his brother-in-law Darwin Damcott. A memorial service will be held 12 pm Wednesday May 29, 2024, at Panama Baptist Church where friends will be received two hours prior to the service from 10 am to 12 pm.
