Obituary of Rose Renzi

Rose Renzi (nee: Canorro) passed away on June 7th 2024 in Bemus Point, NY after a lengthy illness with cancer. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church on South Park in Buffalo, NY on Friday June 14th at 9:30 am. Rose was born in Buffalo, NY the beloved daughter of the late Giovanni and Madeline (nee: Valerio) Canorro; devoted wife of the late James F. Renzi, Sr.; loving mother of James Jr. (Angela), late Barbara, Michael (Karen), Paula (Anita) and Thomas; doting grandmother to Christopher (Shannon) and Kevin (Angela) Wagner, Kearsten Fish (James), and Ryan, Austen and Jordan Renzi; great grandmother of Paige, Logan, Brooke and Nadia Wagner, and Mia Rose Fish; proud aunt to over 50 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. She is survived by her brother, John Canorro, and sisters-in-law Rosie Ramirez, Janet Balmas, Mary Garvey, Donna Azzopardi, and Margaret Kauderer, and preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and Anthony Canorro, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Norma Canorro, Frances Canorro, Helen Wayman, Anna and Harold Thurston, Albert and Janet Renzi, Anthony and Marie Renzi, Luke and Pam Renzi, Rita and Donald Weber, Marion Balmas, Daniel Garvey, Paul Azzopardi, Jean and Dennis McCarthy, and James Kauderer. Rose initially worked part-time at the Youth Center in West Seneca, NY supervising teenagers, and then full-time at Seneca Manor Nursing Home in West Seneca, NY where she wore many hats during her tenure including payroll and bookkeeping. She enjoyed attending endless sporting events as she was her children's greatest fan, coaching cheerleading squads, playing mahjong with her vast array of Buffalo and Florida friends, cooking for her family, traveling, gardening, quilting, crocheting scarves for her loved ones, and most of all, spending time with and living for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose's family would like to thank Drs. Alex Niu, Matthew Cortese, Adam Norman and Valerie Burkhard and their staff, and the wonderful staff at Roswell Park and Chautauqua Hospice for their expert care, kindness and unwavering support.
