Obituary of Franchesca L. Oneal-Hawkins

Franchesca L. Hawkins, 22, of 112 Frederick Blvd, died Tuesday June 4, 2024, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born January 13, 2002, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Christine Hawkins. She was a 2020 graduate of Southwestern Central School and had worked as a private duty nanny. She loved her dog Blu, cooking, anything pink, her goddaughter Kinsley Rose and most importantly herself. She instilled confidence in anyone who needed it. She dreamed of being a mom, had plans to live far away and had enough determination to do anything. Franchesca helped anyone who asked and changed so many people's lives. She worked hard and persevered through challenges her whole life as well as sacrificed a lot for family and others when she was struggling herself. She was dependable and generous with everything. She really brought a light to this world that we can all feel now that she's not with us. She missed her mother, and we can hope she's with her now. She deserves peace and happiness where she is and will be missed greatly. Surviving is a sister Nija Hawkins of Jamestown; uncle Lonzo (Michelle) Hawkins of Jamestown; aunt Sheri Hawkins of Jamestown and cousins Alicia and Dalton Hawkins and Dominic Salvaggio. Besides her mother she was preceded in death by grandparents Lonzo and Linda Kolstee Hawkins. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
