Obituary of Carol E. Carlson

Carol E. Carlson, 72, of 19 East Summit Avenue, Lakewood, died Saturday November 20, 2010, in Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital, Buffalo. An area resident most of her life, she was born March 26, 1938, in Jamestown a daughter of Norman and Viola Berg. She was a member of Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 American Legion Auxiliary. She was a mother and friend to all who knew her. Surviving are four children Nels R. Carlson of Boston, MA, Daniel J. Carlson of Kailua, HI, Dawn Carlson of Nashville, TN and Tanya Carlson (Brian Bovin) of Oceanside, CA; a foster son Timothy Buckley of Troy, NY; four grandchildren Dustin Dilker (Sara Stratiff-Dilker) of Jamestown, Daisha Dilker of Lakewood, Nels Carlson and Cassidy Carlson, both of Boston, MA; two brothers John (Diane) Berg of Lakewood and Charlie Berg of Highland, NC and a companion Timothy O'Leary of Lakewood. She was preceded in death by a daughter Christine Lynn Carlson and a foster son Matthew Buckley. Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
