Obituary of Neva P. Carlson
Neva P. Carlson, 100, formerly of 33 Douglas Place, passed away at 5:29 a.m. Friday (November 26, 2010) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
A lifelong area resident she was born November 13, 1910 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Charles and Hulda Johnson Peterson.
Before her retirement in 1972 she was employed by the former Quality Markets for 40 years.
She was a longtime member of the First Covenant Church and the Hope Circle. She was also a member of the Allen Park Women's Club and the American Scandinavian Heritage Foundation.
Surviving are a daughter Brenda (Chuck) Hagadorn of Jamestown, a son Bryan (Kaye) Carlson of Ft. Wayne, IN, five grandchildren Stacey (Randy) Daugharthy of Sugar Grove, PA, Michael (Cathy) Hagadorn of Russell, PA, Jennifer (Matt) Lion of Orlando, Fl, Elizabeth (Adam) Urschell, of Ft. Wayne, IN, Douglas Carlson of Falls Church, VA, eight great grandchildren and a brother Robert Peterson of Sinclairville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer W. Carlson whom she married September 7, 1935 and who died February 12, 1982, two sisters Evangeline Nelson, Marion Lundeen and by four brothers Clifford, Sigvard, Norman and Rev. Bertil Peterson.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Adam Rohler, pastor of the First Covenant Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home.
