What a True Lady ..Warm and inviting , with always time for friendship and a place for you to stay if need be ... Genuine from her Heart. We got the true honors when our Son (Brent) & Kristi moved to Jamestown..upon arrival we all got requests to come to restaurant for a "fine" hot meal on them ...WOW how much more divine could it be? We quickly learned ..She was a Lady who spoke softly and carried a big stick. We Love You and to God be the Glory.

Chris, Marie and Family - I remember when you built your home and moved out to Towerville. Marie you joined our 4-H club and were a classmate of mine in school, and thus Nina entered my life also. She was always there to support you through those 4-H projects and demonstrations. (How many times did she watch us do our team "Table Setting" demonstration?) My memories of Nina are from my childhood and high school years ... What a vivacious lady with warmth, lots of love, a radiant smile, a great cook, with abundant strength and energy that wouldn't quit. Her faith, family and friends were so important. Her life was such a positive example for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she lives on through all of you. I extend my sympathy and pray that God brings you comfort through your many memories of a great lady.

Palermo family,
We have known Nina & Chris for many years through their catering business for the Celtic's picnic and doings at St. John's.
Recently Nina came to help us decorate cookies for St. John's Italian festival. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Always loved coming back to Jamestown. You and Chris were two of the reasons! Although I didn't see you much over the past years, I often thought about you all. I miss all the "Italian celebrations" and visiting with cousins we'd have when in town for family reunions. Those were some great memories and you are part of them. All the best to the family.

Nina (affectionately called "The Grandmother" by me) was a strong, loving, and sassy woman. Her ability to reign over the never-dull brood that I'm grateful to be adopted into never ceased to amaze me. She always welcomed me into her home, fed me, and made me feel safe, a feeling I wasn't accustomed to while growing up.
Even with the distance between us, we kept in touch with cards, letters, and notes, and I will always cherish those. Just thinking of her bustling around the kitchen, refusing to sit down (even with Kathy saying, "Ma! Sit down and relax!), and always making sure everyone had everything they needed. She truly exemplified sacrificial love.
What I'll probably remember most about Nina is her unwavering faith in God and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her devotion to her church and her relationship with God left an indelible impression on me. I long for the day when I'll be united in heaven with her and the rest of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
To me, Nina brings to mind Romans 12:9-21. And now, during this time, Romans 12:15 seems appropriate: "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep."
The whole family will be in our prayers, that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:7).
Much Love,
Amanda

I will never forget living next to you when I was growing up. You were like the grandma next door :)Even baking me bread all the time! Since I moved away I would stop in when I was in town. Two weeks ago I was back home hunting and Nina yelled at me from her car to come see her after I waved, she said "You don't wave at me, get around this door and you give me a kiss!" and I got a nice kiss on the lips haha. I have a billion more great memories I will cherish forever. With a tear and a smile I remember them. Love you always and forever, thinking of you and your family

Grandma always treated me like one of her own grandchildren, even though I joined the family by marriage. I remember when I was pregnant with my first baby (her tenth great grandchild) she made a great meal for me and was getting ready to clean up. I offered to help her and she looked me right in the eyes and said, "You're not used to be taken care of, are you?" That has always stuck with me ever since I've known Grandma...how much she enjoyed taking care of her family and friends and having everyone together. I'm so glad she got to meet my little girl. I'm also so grateful to have known her and truly be a part of her family. Love you, Grandma.
