When losing a family member it is never easy. Aunt Janice was a significant role in my life as she was my godmother and for that I am truly thankful. We will miss her very much and hope and pray family and friends will find peace and understanding during the difficult times that may lay ahead. Love, Kevin and Ashley McDowell

Janice and her family were our next-door neighbors for the best part of our lives. She was the hardest-working woman I've ever seen, and all us kids had the utmost respect for her parental authority. She would let the 5 of us make pudding in her kitchen, which was a huge treat. My sympathy to Lisa, Jon, Pat, Bob and all the family for their loss, but we all can appreciate that she will now be at peace. Except for when the heavenly polka band strikes up . . .

Dear Bob & family,
Our memories of Jan go way back. Her beautiful smile and energetic manner. Your apartment on Sampson St. We shared the birth of two of our children within days of each other. We belonged to a young mother's discussion group through church. As our children grew up and we re-entered the work force, we would see each other downtown.
Our thoughts are with you and your entire family.

We have so many wonderful memories of Cousin Janice. She was my (Barb's) babysitter when we lived in Maple Springs. In later years, she and Bob hosted New Year's Eve parties that we attended in their home on Williard St. Janice always enjoyed card games with cousins and aunts; and she sure loved to polka at our family gatherings! We will miss her.
