Obituary of Edward L. Leavens

Edward L. Leavens, 64, of 140 Bob White Court, Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Falconer, NY, died Wednesday January 5, 2011, in his home in Florida. He was born November 26, 1946, in Oswego, NY, a son of Maurice and Martha McIntyre Leavens. Following graduation from high school he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Cummins Engine Plant. He also worked for 24 years for Alltel as an installer and repairman. He was a member of War Vets Recreation. Ed loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. During his retired life, he enjoyed golfing and relaxing on the beach with his wife Claudia. Surviving are his wife the former Claudia Hall, whom he married March 15, 1995 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; children Wendy Follmer of San Diego, CA, Charles (Marianne) Boggs of Jamestown, Justin (Corinne) Boggs of San Francisco, CA and Georgene Boggs of Fredonia, NY; three grandchildren Tage and Drew Boggs and Jenna Follmer and a brother Robert Leavens of New Ulm, Minnesota. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
