Obituary of Rose M. Frazita

Rose Mary Frazita, 96, of Hultquist Place, formerly of Sunnyside Manor, Bemus Point, died Friday January 28, 2011, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. A Fredonia native, she was born March 9, 1914, a daughter of Russell and Agnes LaTona Castilone. She was a graduate of Fredonia High School. Along with her husband she owned and operated Steve's Drive-In on Route 20 in Sheridan. He made the Italian sausage and she baked the rolls. Later in life she was a cook at Camp Mission Meadows. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bemus Point and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Her other memberships include Home Bureau and Study Club of Bemus Point. She volunteered at RSVP and for area schools. She enjoyed knitting and cooking meals for anyone who visited her. Most of all, however she loved her family, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren. Surviving are three daughters Patricia (The late Sidney, Jr) Hulse of Buffalo, Mary (Arthur) Coleman of Phoenix, AZ and Cheryl (Don) Harriman of Jamestown; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Frazita, whom she married September 15, 1937 and who died May 11, 1991, three brothers Anthony, Charles and Michael Castilone and five sisters Josephine Castilone, Angeline Gugino, Petrina Pantano, Jennie Conti and Mary Guarino. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
