Obituary of Jeanette O. DeJesus
Jeanette O. DeJesus, 68, of 145 Chandler St. Jamestown, died at 9:56 a.m. Thursday (February 3, 2011) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 6, 1942 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Harrison Fredrick and Francis Clark Kent.
Jeanette was the former District Manager of Dipson Theaters. She was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the Moose Lodge, the VFW and was an avid BINGO player.
Jeanette was a loving mother, grandmother and a dear friend to many. She will forever be loved and admired by her family and friends.
She is survived by her former husband, Anselmo O. DeJesus of Jamestown; her children, Theresa (Dean) Abbott of Frewsburg; Cheryl (Matt) Stow of Stow, NY; Richard Kent of Brocton; Debra Brandi of Jamestown; Kevin Ortiz of Ringgold, GA; Terry Ortiz of Jamestown; Joseph Ortiz of Dalton, GA; 14 grandchildren, Kimberly, Shannon, Lindsey, Matthew, Holly, Kayla, Amanda, Jenny, Kevin Jr., Harrison, Brandon, Nicholas, Jesse, Logan; two great grandchildren; a brother, Harry (Barb) Kent of Saint Petersburg, FL; and a sister, Debra Kent of Falconer.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Anselmo Ortiz; and a brother, Daniel Kent.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell Duffy, pastor of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Catholic Church of one's choice.
