Hap and I went to dine at the R & G just tonight. I guess we live under a rock, as we were saddened when we asked for Edna, discovered the Lord had taken her home. What wonderful memories we have of her at the R & G which will never be the same. She is greatly missed, and our hearts go out to her famly.

To Edna's family, my deepest
sympathy. What a great lady.
I will remember her first at
Jenkins, next for her generous
gift of cooking at the Scandinavian JCC saturday events, and of course at the
Rod & Gun. Her infectious laughter will live on in our
memories. She will be missed with much fondness and respect. She is probably telling Saint Peter a joke right now. She made everyone
smile. We love you Edna.........

Dear family,
Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to you.
We were dining at the Rod & Gun Wednesday and did not see Edna working. We thought it odd and were sorry to read the notice in the paper a few days later. She was such a hardworking fixture there and would always take a moment to chat to find out what was new with our grandchildren who often dine with us. She would share her latest news of her grandchildren of whom she was so proud. There are some sweet and nice people you enjoy meeting in life and Edna was certainly one.
May her memory be eternal.

Sandy,
I am so sorry for your loss. I just saw your mom at my dad's funeral bright and chipper as ever. When I read the obituary I so remember those cookies she use to make. I remember when you use to bring them to school when we were in elementary school - they were the coolest thing and delicious.
I pray that God will be with you and your family at this time and for the days to come. You will be sadden by the memories at first but the they will put a smile on your face. God be with you.

Edna indeed was a great lady. Those who have lighted candles and shared their memories about Edna described her warmth, her personality, her sense of humor, and her thoughtfulness so that I can't improve on their description of her. I will just say, "Amen".
I have known the Edwin and Katherine Erickson Nelson family for well over 60 years and am humbled and proud to have known all of them. During all that time this patriotic family kept giving their time, their energies and their money to make their village, their church and the schools their children attended a better and safer place. Collectively this family volunteered more time to our volunteer Fire Department and the Auxiliary than any other household. They cared about our community and our schools and showed it in many ways. Edna carried that tradition on all her life and will be missed.

A CANDLE to a wonderful lady and classmate. Edna you have lit more candles for people than we can count. Whenever my family and I return to Jamestown area, one of our priorities was to see you at the Rod & Gun. This past week we were back in town for my sisters (Diane Carlson Holmes) funeral. On Wed. night I watched for you , because I just knew you would be there. Finally I asked one of our classmates and found out you had been under the weather. The next morning while reading the PJ I found out the sad truth.
Edna you have brightened the lives of many and I know that you will continue to be a blessing to all those whose lives you have touched.
Your friend Jack
